The kids are home from school, family is in town....here are three fun things to do in the Treasure Valley for the kids and kids at heart.
1. Festival of Trees (Nov 26-Nov 30) This is annual event takes over the Grove in Downtown Boise. Elaborately decorated trees and holiday crafts fill all nooks and crannies of the event center. The main stage features singers and dancers of all genres providing day long entertainment. Don't forget to visit Santa in Santa's Workshop. Enjoy various free arts and crafts while you wait your turn. A must see holiday event!
2. Ice Skating at The Meridian Village The ice rink is open daily noon to 9p, closing at 8p on Sundays. $5 includes rentals for children 12 and under, $7 for 13 and up.
3. Eagle Terrain Park Located off Old Horseshoe Bend Road in the Eagle Sports Complex, skiiers, snowboarders and tubers can enjoy winter fun within minutes of town. The park is open 10a-8p on weekends/holidays and 4p-8p on weekdays. $15 gets you admission, rentals and lessons!! The park has snow makers so all they need is cold weather.
