Hi Kasey... we have a gazillion farmers markets ourselves here and because of our climate many of them operate year round.

Kasey & John Boles ~ we are very lucky to have several really great farmers markets and I love supporting them... BTW: If you ever get a chance there is a really amazing documentary (forks over knives) on Netflix... It really goes hand in hand with the farmers market concept

What - no Idaho potatoes in your photos???   Farmers Markets are the best for fresh farm to table produce.

Hi Nina Hollander - we have a mild winter but definitely not enough to have them year round.  Several go through October and the main Boise one does go through December, weather permiting. -Kasey

Thanks Yolanda Cordova-Gilbert!  The photo is actually of produce from my own garden a few years ago, but you can get most of this stuff at the farmers markets. We love eggplant! -Kasey

Kasey, I just love the farmers markets around here and am always sad come fall when they close. Treasure Valley has lots of options and I'm sure many visit more than just one.

I enjoy a good farmers market and it appears that you have plenty of options in your area!

Amanda S. Davidson there are definitely some good options here and many have become artisan craft fairs as well so it's fun to see what local folks create and sell as well as the local and fresh produce. -Kasey

Hi Kasey, we love going to the local farmer's market in our area too; and are especially on the hunt for fresh, organic and local fruits and produce - Yum!!!

I do love the farmer's markets as well Alexander- Slocum.  It is great to shop local and also know where your produce is coming from.  It's always better too! -Kasey

One of my favorite things about living in a great climate - we have year-round markets (somewhere)! This time of year, there is one opened every day within 3 miles of my home - so, I think I'm in heaven during the summer!

Hope you're having a great week, Kasey!

We definitely do not have year round markets - to cold in the winter.  I'd love one open every day though!  I am not always that motivated to get out of the house on Saturday mornings when most of them are open.  Ever day and within 3 miles of my house would just be wonderful and convenient. :-) Kasey
