Caldwell Night Rodeo

August 15-19, 2017

In it's 83rd year, the Caldwell Night Rodeo is a more traditional rodeo held at the Caldwell Night Rodeo Grounds (which also hosts the Canyon County Fair).

Rodeos are family friendly events and are a lot of fun.  If you have never attended a rodeo before, be sure to check this one out. And if you are a rodeo fan, this one will not disappoint.

Gates open nightly at 5:00pm, the junior rodeo begins at 5:30pm and the main rodeo begins at 8:00pm.

For more information and the events schedule check out the website for Caldwell Night Rodeo.

Have fun and be safe!

Hi Kasey

Sounds like lots of fun - loved the videos.

Bet this will be well attended, as I imagine it always is. That's certainly a long running event! Have fun!

Snake River Stampede sounds like a great event to get out and celebrate the days of summer.

I've never been to  one of these types of rodeos/stampedes ever and maybe one day I will get to one. This sounds like an awful lot of fun.

Kasey,

What a fun event that must be.  I have never been to one of these.  My chiropractor in Los Angeles, used to travel to the rodeos to adjust the riders after and before their falls.  She had great stories about the riders.  A

Jeff Dowler The Snake River Stampede sees around 60,000 attendees and the Caldwell Night Rodeo 45,000.  They are pretty big deals around here :-) Kasey

Belinda Spillman it isn't summer to me without a rodeo around somewhere. When I grew up we always attended a 4th of July rodeo in my small hometown. -Kasey

Nina Hollander it is certainly a different culture if you aren't used to it, but it's a lot of fun and great people watching. -Kasey

Ron and Alexandra Seigel my dad is actually a chiropractor and when I was growing up his best friend was a cowboy named Guy (who had a dog named Dog) who road bucking broncos for a living during rodeo season.  That career is not easy on the body.  I can see why your friend traveled around adjusting the rodeo competitors.  -Kasey

That video makes me think that what we do is a bit boring compared to those guys (and girls!!), Kasey!  LOL  I'll bet it is fun to attend - and you have a ringing endorsement from Reba McIntire too!

I don't know how someone just wakes up one day and decides they want to be a bronco or bull rider Debe Maxwell, CRS, or a rodeo clown for that matter.  Scary and hard on your body for sure!  But it is fun to watch, lol -Kasey

Great video Kasey & John Boles .  My dad use to take me to the Grand Nationals at the Cow Palace in San Francisco.  Haven't been in 20 years.  Should make plans to go back.

Jim Cheney my young children have yet to go to a rodeo.  I have it on the calendar for this year, so hope to make it! -Kasey
